Stay safe and healthy. We continue to support the CHP Explorer programs in the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valley, along with local SCV scholarships. Monetary donations would be greatly appreciated.

Our Mission Statement

The Jacob Zamora Memorial Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) corporation that provides support to young people with assistance and scholarships in the Santa Clarita Valley.

“My Mountain...My Backyard...My Domain,” Jacob Zamora 1984-2003

A group of Jacob’s family and friends, including the Oak Tree Gun Club, decided to hold it’s first annual shoot in 2004 to honor Jacob’s extraordinary life.  In only 19 years, Jacob touched many hearts with kindness and a vibrant personality.

Through the success of the Jacob Zamora Memorial Shoot our mission has grown in the past decade. Currently our donations not only support CHP Explorers Post 540, here in the Santa Clarita Valley, but we also provide scholarships to deserving seniors graduating from our local high schools.

In Jacob’s short, but remarkable, life, he’d achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, and dreamed of becoming a CHP officer. In other ways, Jacob was just an ordinary young man, with the common struggles many young people face. Therefore, our scholarships aren't geared toward serving the highest academic achievers in our valley, but to help dedicated students achieve their educational goals.

We believe Jacob is watching the work we do in his name. The Foundation is committed to help young women and men in our community make their own dreams become a reality.
